The History of Creation
«KhADI-28e» is the last of the KhADIelectric vehicle of family, created under the guidance of K. Stebchenko. The motor of torpedo (self-propelled underwater weapon) wasused as the power plant of the car. Its feature was the stator and the rotor rotating in the opposite direction. By the creators' plan, the stator was fixed stationary on the frame of the car, which allowedto increase the number of revolutions of the power plant.
«KhADI-28e» and «KhADI-26» took part in the demonstration races during the filming of the «Speed Challenge» documentary dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of Kharkov Automobile and Highway Institute in 1990.
Due to the unfavourable time of creation (the collapse of the Soviet Union) it did not take part in competitions.
It is exhibitedin the KhNAHU Museum currently.
