The History of Creation

Taking into account the world fame, the staff professional competence, as well as innovation of ideas applied in practice, the representatives of «Shell» company in Ukraine, as well as the Ministry for Environment invited the students and staff of Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University to create the first Ukrainian team to take part in an annual international competition «Shell Eco-marathon». To achieve this, the representative of the Students Design Bureau was invited to visit the European stage of the most fuel-economy car competition taking place at car-racing track in Nogaro, France. Then the SDB team decided to participate in this competition in the conceptual class, a subgroup with internal combustion engines, and started to develop a racing car project.

In January 2009, an international publishing holding «New Frontier Media Group», issuing the magazine «Business Ukraine» in Ukraine, invested in the construction of the vehicle.
