In this regard, Shell Oil Company, a world-renowned company that specializes in oil production and refinery as well as automotive component production, has been holding the annual Eco-marathon among University student teams around the world for many years. The winner of the competition is the car that could go the furthest on the one litre of fuel. 

When designing IC engines and their simulation models, heat transfer is used to solve the following problems: combustion intensity of chamber parts, design of cooling system elements, thermal management of the systems, removal of heat from the heat-stressed parts, calculation of heat transfer to the cylinder walls during combustion process, etc.
