Scientific activities

Currently, the department staff members have been conducting research in such areas as “Mechanics of deformable solids” and “Road transport”.

Scientific findings: 

• the recommendations for production plants to reduce noise and increase service life and reliability of designed tyres have been developed;

• the non-stationary deformation of structural elements has been investigated, including those which are fixed to an elastic substrate, are in contact with added masses stiffened with ribs and also interact with one another;

• the methods for identification of non-stationary loads acting on canonical structural elements have been developed based on the solution of ill-posed problems of elasticity theory;

• the mathematical models for the control of non-stationary deformation of rods, plates and shells have been created.
